Ian drives Catch the Light with passion and soul that he uses to inspire others. 

 

Ian approaches his work with an empathy for where things are and can quickly grasp the factors affecting your progress. Ian works with you to take control of what can be achieved well. This includes bringing together people with divergent views to create a common ground to work for the benefit of young people and communities.

 

Ian has a natural capacity for communicating with young people, especially those experiencing multiple barriers and challenges to moving forward in their lives. Ian enjoys supporting them to achieve their full potential with a focus and determination to see things through. 

 

Ian has a BA in Community Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Local Authority Management, and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling.  Ian is a Children / Youth & Adult mindfulness teacher and has undertaken training in Therapeutic Storytelling and Outdoor learning with the John Muir Trust and Outward Bound Trust.
